FORMations is a free, open to the public, movement and filmmaking jam. A space to spontaneously create, collaborate and network with other artists, filmmakers and movers! Any and all movement practitioners are welcome — bring your jump ropes, parkour skills, hacky sacks, dance moves, and a recording device!
Post-FORMations, footage will be distributed amongst the participants of the contest. Afterwards, bring your footage to Cineworks for an Intro to Editing and Colour Correcting workshops to transform your footage into a 60 second film for our mini-contest!
This event is all ages friendly.
FORMations Contest Details:
Attend the Jam! At the end of the day, we send you a link to all the shared footage post-FORMations.
Create a 60 second short film
Submit your film to us by 11:59pm Tuesday, September 17th. Email info@f-o-r-m.ca with the subject “FORMations Submission + YOUR NAME” with file attached.
The winner will be announced before the first screening on September 19th. All films submitted will be posted on our social media.
The winner of the contest will have their film screened before each of our screenings. The winner will receive a weekend pass and $150 cash prize.
* All participants that submit a film will receive a festival weekend pass and discounted price to Cineworks workshops.
